Arrr!

A huge success for Hastings at the weekend!

We smashed the previous world record of 8,734 pirates gathered in one place from Penzance, Cornwall with our own magnificent 14,231 pirates on Hastings seafront!

Members of the Oakland Vale team joined in with the pirate antics to contribute towards this fantastic number.

At 5:30pm there was also an impressive display from the world renowned Red Arrows. Acknowledged as one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams, the Red Arrows are the public face of the Royal Air Force.

As stated on the Red Arrows officail wesite: "Since the Team’s creation in 1965, the Red Arrows have flown over 4,000 displays in 52 countries. Today the Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world, acting as ambassadors for Great Britain when displaying overseas. They also support UK industry by demonstrating the capabilities of British equipment and expertise." - http://www.raf.mod.uk/reds/
